For several years now we have been active supporters of British showjumping.
We are official sponsors of The British Showjumping Association and also offer support at a grass-roots level through Justin and Oliver Tuff.
Justin Tuff is a renowned British showjumper and proud father to 16-year-old Oliver.
Oliver Tuff, although still a teenager, is already one of Britain’s best showjumpers.
In October 2018, Oliver made history at the Horse of the Year Show becoming the youngest ever winner of the Equitop Myoplast Senior Foxhunter Championship – a class that’s been running since the 1950s.
Due to our involvement in the sport, Key Currency already works with some of the major yards on the currency side – helping them buy and sell horses abroad as well as move their prize money back home.
This has enabled us to ramp up the financial support for Oliver Tuff.
Showjumping isn’t a cheap sport – quite the opposite. We want to make sure Oliver gets the same support as the top riders from other countries so that he can pursue his dream and compete at the Olympics.
Key Currency is a proud sponsor of Team GB, who competes at the Motocross of Nations.
For those unfamiliar, the Motocross of Nations is often called the “Olympics of Motocross”.
The event has been staged since 1947 and continues to grow in stature. These days around 40 countries compete every year and it attracts fans from all around the globe.
Back in the early days, Great Britain dominated the event, winning 15 of the first 21 years.
The Americans took over in the 1980s and early 1990s, winning 13 years in a row. In more recent times, the French have become the team to beat, having won the last 5 consecutive years.
Great Britain (Team GB) remains very competitive.
In 2017, Team GB battled to 3rd place – the first podium finish for Great Britain since 1997.
Mark Chamberlain, who is the team manager of Team GB, is a friend and colleague. We wish his team the success they deserve in future years.
There is a personal and commercial element to our involvement in both showjumping and motocross.
We happen to like the people we sponsor. They are passionate and strive for excellence on the international stage.
From a business perspective, the more currency business we can get from the members of both communities, the more money we can put back into British sport.
If you make international currency transfers, we offer extensive market knowledge and access our highly competitive rates of exchange.
Whether you’re looking to buy or sell international property, equipment or livestock from mainland Europe, repatriate prize money or simply make regular international payments to a supplier overseas – we help make the process easy and economical.
